Looloo.com called Biliran ‘An Emerging Tourist Desitnation in Eastern Visayas‘.
We have always known that Biliran was full of charm, and it delights us to no end when others see our little island the way we do.
It may not be as popular and as pristine as the other destinations in the country, but one thing is for sure — in Biliran, I don’t need a loud party to enjoy, nor a modern resort to stay in. I can indulge in its purest, natural wonders. The fresh air, the sea, and the company of good friends are more than enough reasons to go back.
To me, one thing is certain — in Biliran, I found my happy place.
Thank you so much for the fantastic write-up Ms. Matet Reyes! You made us fall in love with our island all over again 🙂

As you can imagine, we were all so giddy last Friday night while watching “Biyahe ni Drew” ‘s feature on Biliran. And the giddiness was heightened even more when Agta Beach Resort played a prominent role in the feature! Woohoo!
Here’s our resident pogi divemaster enjoying his 15 seconds of fame.
On our last day at the resort, the weather had cleared up, although the waves were still too turbulent to let us go to Sambawan Island. Luck didn’t seem to be on our side at the time, but the next time we go back, we’re definitely going to Sambawan! And so we bade goodbye to the hospitable people of Agta Beach Resort, to Melo and Tita Milette who were the simply best hosts we could have asked for during our stay in the resort.
We’re glad that not even an earthquake or tsunami warning could dampen the spirits of our Cebuano visitors 🙂 See you again Mr. Fred Baa and friends! Sambawan Island is still waiting to be discovered 🙂
Read all about Mr. Fred’s adventures in Agta Beach Resort and Biliran here, be sure to watch his video too! It sure made me wish I was back in Agta Beach Resort right now.
We love this blog post from eazy traveler. He made Agta Beach Resort his homebase and then made his way around the island to discover ice cold waterfalls, mineral-rich hot springs and rice terraces. Usually, tourists visit Dalutan Island and Sambawan Island, but this guy really took the time to get to know Biliran beyond its beaches and islands.
Idol ka eazy traveler 🙂
